The Refreshing Kazan Aqua Park

The city of Kazan is as old as it is beautiful. The city is the capital of the Tatarstan Republic and it is also regarded as being one of Russia’s most beautiful and largest cities. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why Kazan is a UNESCO World Heritage city!

When you visit Kazan, you’ll find the oldest and most beautiful buildings located at the heart of it. This is a place where various architectural styles co-exist, so that Baroque monuments share boundaries with modernistic mansions. The buildings here create a special sort of environment that you have to feel to truly appreciate. Your travels will likely take you to the Kazan Kremlin, from where you will be able to enjoy a superb view of the river. If it’s a particularly hot day, the river may look particularly inviting. It would be a good idea to head in that direction on such a day, because that is the location of the spectacular new Kazan Aqua Park.

This ‘Riviera’ features a variety of pools, slides and other types of water-orientated activities. All in all it covers a whopping 1.5 thousand square meters with both indoor and outdoor facilities. No wonder that with so much space, this is Russia’s largest water park. There are more than 50 rides, 10 slides, dozens of swimming pools, a Flow Rider for wannabe surfers, a children’s fort, a SPA-zone and much more.

If you want to enjoy some fun water rides, you can try the Canyon, the Tornado, the Niagara, The Anaconda, The Descending Bermuda, the Abyss Jump, the Kamikaze, the Dead Loop and the Black Hole. Each of these offers visitors something different, and there are plenty of child-friendly slides available too. The slides are all color coded to make them easier to distinguish from each other. When it comes to swimming, there is certainly no shortage of pools available! The Pepsi Wave Pool and the Amazon Slow River will give swimming a new spin. Otherwise you can enjoy the year-round outdoor pool if the weather is good, a variety of summer pools and some indoor pools too. If you’re looking to try something different, you can attempt to surf the Flow Rider or go diving complete with mask and tank. Children can enjoy the somewhat more tranquil waters of the children’s pool, or they can make the most of their active imaginations at the Pirate Fort. Adults looking to relax can try a variety of interesting water-related spa treatments, such as the Finnish Sauna, the Roman Turkish baths, the Jacuzzi Pools, the Cold Water Cadca and the Solarium.

To top it all off, there are great places to eat and drink and you can enjoy a great ‘summer’ swim in the middle of the cold Russian winters. So make the most of your next visit to Kazan and try the new Kazan Aqua Park.
