Tour Basegi National Park

Russia is one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world, as nature enthusiasts have many national parks and reserves to choose from whilst exploring the wildlife and diversity of the country. In winter and in summer there are wonders waiting to be discovered, which are unique to each season. The Basegi National Park is a popular attraction in Russia and a park that overflows with a variety of animal life and different vegetation. Many visitors prefer to explore the Basegi National Park on hiking routes, while others join guides provided by tour operators to learn more about the Basegi region.

Located in the Ural Mountains, the Basegi National Park is approximately two hundred kilometers away from the city of Perm and a hundred and fifty kilometers away from Chusovoy. It was established in the year 1982 and covers an estimated area of three hundred and eighty square kilometers. Its vegetation has made the park extremely popular, as to the north of the park dense pine forests can be found, while to the south leafy forests cover the earth. The great difference in landscape and vegetation provides more habitats for a greater number of animals and birds, and the area is therefore home to many different species.

The Central Basegi, North Basegi and South Basegi mountain ridges are the highest in the region and views from these peaks are breathtaking. They look out over the massive forests and landscapes of the Basegi National Park, and hiking to these peaks is one of the exciting activities offered by the park. There are a few tiny villages located within the park borders, but these communities live quietly in the park and encountering the locals is rare. Some of the animals that can be seen in the park include elk, partridge, marsh otter, sable, wolves, moose, bears and lynx. Other activities such as mountain biking tours, river tours (on the Usva River) and 4x4 tours of the Basegi National Park are available. The Basegi National Park is a wonderful protected area in Russia to explore. Taking in the stunning views and discovering the magnificent wildlife is a great opportunity and way to explore the natural side of Russia.
