Description:

Victory Day commemorates Russia's victory over Nazi Germany in 1945, honoring those who died in order to attain that victory. As one of the more prominent celebrations in Russia, features of Victory Day include the laying of wreaths on wartime graves, concerts for war veterans, a military parade in Moscow's Red Square and other cities, ending the day with an impressive fireworks display.
