Russian prosperity has but little to do with the oil and gas industries. Russia is better because middle class people are working in establishments like retail stores and restaurants that have come into Russia. Even the counter clerks at a McDonalds are having a greater impact on Russian prosperity than Yukos. The stores are full, sales are booming, Russian are working and buying stuff...that is capitalism my friend.

If Putin wants to make people believe that he is responsible for bringing companies like Starbucks to Russia...he can delude people all he wants. And if he REALLY cared for Russian, why did he stop ALL foreign adoptions. Tell a kid in Orphanage #36 how great Putin is.
