Na 1. međunarodnom čipkarskom festivalu u Vologdi u Rusiji lepoglavska je čipka u konkurenciji 10 zemalja i 36 ruskih oblasti proglašena najljepšom. Naime, u gotovo 2,5 tisuća kilometara udaljenom gradu Vologda u Rusiji po prvi je put održan Međunarodni čipkarski festival na kojem su predstavljene čipke iz 10 zemalja i 36 ruskih oblasti.
