We stopped in St. Petersburg, Russia, during our Baltic Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas. The museum was closed to the public that day, so our tour group had the entire building to ourselves!

[Rail life] Episode 18: Vorobyovy Gory Sokolnicheskaya Line of Moscow Metro The only station of Moscow Metro situated on a metro bridge. Vorobyovy Gory without a doubt is one of the most interesting stations of the Metro. It's also one of my favorite stations. The station was opened on December 1, 1951, then closed for repairs on October 20, 1983, and opened again after full rebuilt on December 14, 2002. The station was named after the hills called Vorobyovy Gory (or Leninskiye Gory until 1999). Since 2010 the station is used for hosting small exhibitions. The station is great for such purposes because of the natural lighting and the widest platform of Moscow Metro stations. The one that appears in a clip is an exhibition of theatre dolls opened on summer 2011. The trains on the video are "Nomernye" ("Numbered") 81-717/714 series trains that are the only rolling stock of Sokolnitcheskaya Line and also the most common ones for all Russia and ex-USSR metro systems. Skopje Alexander the Great Airport opens the doors to its brand new terminal 06-09-2011 Today, a new chapter in the history of Skopje Alexander the Great Airport begins as it opens the doors to its brand new terminal. The multi million Euro project took just over a year to complete and will allow FYR Macedonia's capital to have the most modern airport facilities in the former Yugoslavia. The new terminal at Skopje Airport is ten times the size of the current terminal building, which was built in 1987 and will be closed as of tomorrow. The new terminal stretches over two levels and 40.100 square metres. Besides the new terminal the runway has been lengthened in order to accommodate larger aircraft. Furthermore, millions have been invested into supporting infrastructure such as access roads, a car park and an administrative office building. The development of the new terminal was made possible by the Turkish airport operator, TAV Holdings, which took over the management of both Skopje and Ohrid airports from the government in early 2010. As a result, attending today's opening ceremony of the new terminal will be the Turkish Prime Minister, Turkish government officials and businessmen. The opening ceremony will take place this afternoon at 13.30 CEST. TAV will now begin work in other fields to improve the airport's offering. The company will soon begin the construction of a new web page for both Skopje and Ohrid airports and will work with the Skopje public transport company ...
