The Irkutsk Region [01:01]
Irkutsk is the capital of eastern Siberia and the Baikal region. While the city preserves its unique history, it also looks forward actively to Siberia's future. The Irkut River gave the name to the city, and the shore of the Angara river became a citadel of Russian discoverers in the 17th century. Today, from this cultural and scientific center, there are a lot of interesting routes on the unique railway around Lake Baikal, that includes hundreds of bridges and tunnels along the way. The Taltsy Ethnographic Museum is a delightful experience that reflects the history and culture of the Baikal area. Endless rivers and lakes rich in fish attract fishermen from all over the world. The Irkutsk Region is Siberia's bountiful and generous gift.

The Novgorod Region [01:01]
The Novgorod Region, the place where Russia's roots are, is located in the northwest of the country. Here in Valday, the Volga and Dnepr Rivers have their sources. The Great Novgorod Kremlin was the first model of Russian statehood. The ancient cathedrals and monasteries that stand on the banks of Lake Ilmen and the Volkhov River, have been home to the Russian Orthodox faith from the very beginning. The Republic of Karelia [01:01]

The research vessel "VITYAZ". (in english) [11:50]
The white elegant "VITYAZ" got at Maklai Shore on one of its sixty five tours made in thirty years of navigating the world ocean. By that time it had covered no less than 800 miles. There were 27 great discoveries made. The deepest point at the depth of eleven thousand and twenty two metres was found in the Mariane hollow.
