The people of Vologda maintain the customs and traditions of the Russian north. Every summer different generations gather here to preserve these time-honoured rites. However, in the north winters are long and occupied with lengthy hunting trips and adventures. Father Frost, the Russian Santa Claus, welcomes children and adults alike to his Vologda mansion.
