I thought J.-M. Jarres music would perfectly fit the trip I made in 2006 in the footsteps of Madame de Bourboulon. She was supposedly the first European woman to have made such a journey. In 1862, she left Beijing and travelled across Manchuria, Mongolia, Siberia, Western Russia and Northern Europe all the way to France.
