5 Minutes of Night in Minsk - GoPro HD Hero 2 Test [05:05]
Original file: files.mail.ru (choose red button "Обычное скачивание") March 01, 2012, Minsk, Belarus. 5 minutes of driving at night. I used GoPro HD Hero 2 camera,1920x1080p, 25 fps, medium field of view mode. I found the picture good enough, it's bright and detailed enough, car license plates are readable. The lens is really sharp even on angles. There is much noise only when it's too dark even for eyes. I highly recommend to use 25 fps (not higher) because it improves picture quality during the low light shooting (camera can use 1/25 second exposure, if use 50 or more frames per second exposure will be shorter and the picture can be more noisy). But when there is enough light you can use 1280x720 50 (60) fps mode and your panorama will be more clear but full picture will be less detailed. Besides more wide field of view in this camera means less noisy picture, because when you using the narrow or medium angle this camera use not full sensor space. I want to add that GoPro HD Hero 2 is not convenient enough for use in the car: it's not so easy to mount it, you will need to buy LCD BacPac, auto charger and skeleton housing ($80+,$30+ and $40+), you will need to place it upside down and change menu settings, but LCD bacpac will display picture incorrect (upside down). The microphone quality is too poor. You can plug extra microphone and it will solve the problem with sound, but how would you mount that microphone? May be with sticky tape?

6 Minutes of Twilight in Minsk - GoPro HD Hero 2 Test [06:25]
March 01, 2012, Minsk, Belarus. 6 minutes of driving at twilight. I used GoPro HD Hero 2 camera,1920x1080p, 25 fps, wide and medium fields of view modes. I found the picture great enough, it's bright and good detailed, all car license plates are readable. The lens is really sharp even on angles. There is much noise only when it's too dark even for eyes (see my night test).
