Mai 2008 St. Petersburg mit Winterpalais, Zarskoje Selo und Peterhof [11:23]
Unserer Reise durch das Baltikum schloß sich, nachdem wir Litauen, Lettland und Estland ausgiebig erforscht hatten, als Höhepunkt und Abschluß ein Besuch von St. Petersburg an, dieser wundervollen alten Zarenstadt, die so voll ist mit Kulturdenkmälern und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir erlebten drei Tage wie im Rausch, voller herrlicher Besichtigungen, mit allen Sinnen nahmen wir dieses Flair, dieses unnachahmliche Ambiente in uns auf. Wir beschäftigten uns mit Historie und Kunst, und wir lernten auch die liebenswerten St. Petersburger Menschen kennen. Am vierten Tag unseres Besuches mussten wir - leider viel zu früh - wieder in den Flieger klettern und die Heimreise nach Deutschland antreten.

Source Arirang President Lee Myung-bak will fly to Russia Tuesday afternoon for a bilteral summit followed by a trip to France to attend this year's Cannes G20 summit. During his two-day stay in St. Petersburg, Russia President Lee will hold a one-on-one with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on measures to boost strategic cooperative partnership economic collaboration and regional matters involving North Korea's nuclear issue. He is also highly expected to exchange views on a trilateral economic cooperation project that aims at building a pipeline to carry Russian natural gas through North Korea to the South. On Wednesday the Korean leader will then fly to France for a three-day visit to take part in G20 Summit in Cannes and deliver a keynote speech at the G20 Business Summit on the eve of the actual summit on corporations' role to overcome the ongoing crisis.
