Memorial to Starlingrad heroes. Mamayev Hill Memorial is based in Volgograd (formaly known as Starlingrad). The Battle of Stalingrad began on 19 of August 1942 and ended on February 2, 1943. The first massive bombing of Stalingrad took place on 19 August 1942. By February 2nd 1943 Field Marshal Paulus, signed the unconditional surrender of his army.
