Trans-Siberian Railroad: changing train wheels/ Bogeys [00:27]
This video is of the bogie changing at the train station of the Chinese border town of Erlian (二連浩特). Before crossing the border into Mongolia it is necessary for international trains to change bogies (wheel chassis or truck) as China uses the standard rail gauge (1435mm) while Mongolia uses the wider Russian gauge (1520mm). The entire procedure, including customs and immigration on both sides of the border, took approximately 5 hours.

Russian New Trains - Factory Tour - Largest In Europe [03:05]
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit on Friday to the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory in the Rostov region. The plant, the biggest of its type in Russia and Europe, has been producing rail vehicles since 1936. Medvedev inspected the factory's various workshops and discussed working conditions and production rates with staff.
